I decided to go to Mokrin house after quitting my job. I wanted a remote place to be able to focus on my next steps.
Now, after 2 weeks that felt like 2 months, as I am returning home sitting in a minivan somewhere between Subotica and Budapest, I am trying to find the perfect word that describes this unique place without falling into a cliché. Spoiler alert: I will fail miserably at it.
Yes, I am going to say it because there is no better term for it: family. Why? Well, to start, they will always give you more food than you asked for and be worried if you are not eating enough. They are proud of you and your achievements (even if they are not that exceptional). They listen and, if you ask for it, they will offer their honest opinion. You can be your weird self and still be accepted. And, I am going to say it, they will even iron your underwear. If this is not a family, I don´t know what it is. They care, and it´s not about being perfect or flawless – it´s about being real and providing an experience that is authentic and human!
This is why I know I will return to Mokrin house: because no matter how long it takes, you always end up coming back to family.
