I have spent the whole month of November 2016 at Mokrin House.
I recently quit my full-time job as a Creative Director to start my own design agency and, while that kicks off, teach UX online. This is a very big change for me and there were so many things I needed to think about and figure out. Plus, I was also moving on from a quite hectic time in my life.
Mokrin House appeared on my Facebook feed when I was asking myself where could I go to focus on these changes and get things done.
The promise of a combination of co-working and co-living space really caught my eye. I could attend my students online, start my own company, be in a completely different and refreshing environment and I wouldn’t have to worry about anything because even all meals are included! Plus, it looks amazing!
Mokrin House went definitely above and beyond what I was expecting.
Everything was exactly as it looked in the pictures and everyone in the team was always there for whatever you could need. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner kept up an amazing quality during my whole stay. The room was pretty, always clean and the estate was as beautiful as it was peaceful. The working area has a big and comfortable desk, flawless WiFi and very good lighting.
November is low season, which was even better for me to be able to fully concentrate on everything I had to get done. I caught up with a few books, I prepared my new brand and website and I kept up with my students. Plus, I got the space to put everything in perspective and align priorities and goals in my life.
The estate is located at walking distance from the center of Mokrin, a very small village quite different from what I am used to in Spain or The Netherlands, but charming nonetheless. I enjoyed a few walks around it and also a few visits to another close and bigger town called Kikinda which has a very beautiful lake and park. Belgrade and Novi Sad are also really easy to reach for day trips.
I think what I really liked the most from the whole estate was my room’s window. It was right over my bed and on clear nights I could see the whole universe right above me which felt just magical. The sunsets were also amazing – out of this world!
But I believe my stay wouldn’t have been the same without the great team that runs Mokrin House. The waiters are very friendly and attentive. The chefs, super talented. The cleaning and maintenance team always spot-on. The security team available 24h. The core team always up for a good chat. (Thank you all!!)
If you’re looking for a bit of perspective or simply for an optimal place to get stuff done, don’t hesitate and book your stay already!
